Our railway club was founded in 1987 as the Beenleigh District Model Railway Club and following the amalgamation of local governments in Queensland, renamed Logan District Model Railway Club Inc (LDMRC) in 2000. The LDMRC is a proud model railway club of Logan City, Queensland, Australia, consisting of 50 to 60 members yearly.
LDMRC has 3 fixed layouts - Kasino HO Layout, Bunyip Gully HO and HOn3 and n scale layout. Our current train show display layouts are Walloon (HOn3 1/2), High Country (n Scale) and Country, our new HO display layout. All our layouts are Direct Current (DC) and Digital Command Control (DCC) capable to multiple types of locomotives and accessories. LDMRC uses 2 different apps to run Digital Command Control (DCC), Z21 app for Digikeijs controller and Engine driver app for NCE controller.
Club Management Committee meets 1st Friday of the month, and the General meetings are Quarterly. Logan District Model Railway club members meet 7 days a week in air-conditioned premises at 76 Springlands Drive, Slacks Creek, 4127. Our primary days for the public to look around our club is Tuesday afternoon / night and most Saturday mornings.
LDMRC holds 2 Train Shows and Sales annually in March and November at our premises.
Logan District Model Railway Club Inc. is associated with the National Model Railroad Association (NMRA) in promoting the hobby of model trains.
